Community Information:
Armitage Village is located in the centre of Newmarket, Ontario and bounded by Mulock on the North side and Yonge st on the West. It is bounded on the East and South side by Bailey Ecological park which is the southern boundary of Newmarket.
Although the area is mostly larger detached homes on large, deep lots there is also a mix of both freehold and condominium townhomes on the south and west boarder, with a small enclave of luxury style semi detached on the far south border overlooking the ravine that forms the border between the Towns of Newmarket and Aurora.
The area is very defined and self enclosed by its greenspace to the east and south and Yonge St to west with Mulock Rd to the north. For this reason it is a low traffic area with lots of cresents and courts used only by the residents. It has amazing great walking trails throughout the greenspace and is a childrens dream playplace. While green on one side to the west it abounds with services. There is a large open plaza with banks, restaurants such as the Mandarin, sports bars and quiet elegant dining. Natures Emporium is a huge grocery store like natural food store with fresh organic deli and everything for the health conscious or allergy prone consumer. Large fabricland, dollar store, and a host of other shops to meet everyones needs.
All within walking distance is every kind of restaurant, grocery store, Blockbuster and a Shoppers Drug mart. It's a very family oriented place with a mix of all ages and backgrounds.
